Tom Cabush and Jason Gehring won a jury trial in a wrongful death case in Walworth County.

September 2011

Mr. Cabush and Mr. Gehring represented a recycling facility at which the plaintiff was backed over by a garbage truck. The plaintiff alleged that our client was negligent and failed to maintain a safe place of employment under Wisconsin's Safe Place Statute. Mr. Cabush and Mr. Gehring presented expert medical testimony showing that the plaintiff suffered a fatal cardiac arrhythmia prior to being backed over by the truck. The jury found no causal negligence against Mr. Cabush and Mr. Gehring's client.

Mr. Ryan spoke at the mock trial put on by the Wisconsin Defense Counsel on April 28th and 29th, 2011.

April 2011

Mr. Ryan spoke on the topic of proper cross examination and further to put on a demonstration how to properly cross examine a plaintiff.

On March 25, Attorney David Kania spoke at a seminar in Madison for IARP (International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals).

David Kania, Administrative Law Judge Endter and Jason Oldenburg spoke to vocational experts on topics relating to return to work issues, odd-lot presumptions and retraining issues.

On March 25, 2011 Thomas M. Rohe gave a seminar to Chubb Services Corp. in Troy, Michigan on "The 25 Most Significant Cases in Wisconsin Worker's Compensation."
